The 9K stretch- Walk, Run, Cycle......
Gorey Credit Union is organising a charity walk/ run or cycle on Sunday 16th of June at 1pm. Participants can run, walk or cycle on the day including buggies and/or accompanied children may cycle if they wish. It is family orientated as well as an attraction to those who may challenge themselves ‘against the clock’.
We hope to raise much needed funds and awareness for the Hope Cancer Support Centre, based in Enniscorthy. The Hope Cancer Support Centre provides emotional support to people affected by cancer. Hope’s central aim is to enable the person with a cancer diagnosis to gain control of their lives and to enhance coping skills.
We will commence and finish on McDermott Street, Gorey, with the course being predominately flat. The route of the walk is down Gorey Main Street, out the Ballytegan road (left after the Esso garage) out to The Rock, turning right at Knockina heading for Clonsilla, coming out at the Tinnock roundabout/ Aske and back into Gorey via the old Dublin road/ R772. It will continue up the Main Street and ending back on McDermott Street. Thus the title of the event is The 9K Stretch.
While participants can register prior to the date of the event in Gorey Credit Union, they can also register on line on
www.activeglobal.com. They can also contact any of our members of Staff. Entry fee is €10 per person or €20 per family (or a charitable donation).
We kindly encourage as many to participate on the day for this worthy and outstanding cause such as the Hope Cancer Support Centre. If you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact us on 053 9488700 or mso@goreycreditunion.com

Creagh College Open Night
We would like to thank Creagh College for inviting us to their Open Night. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Parents and Students. They have a very impressive campus and hundreds of people turned up on the night.
We had our stand in the Business room. Ms Keogh was on hand to answer any queries relating to that subject and the school. We were there to promote school savings and provide information to all. We currently attend 4 Primary Schools and 2 Secondary Schools in our bond area weekly to collect savings and encourage the habit of saving. For further information contact us on 053 94 88700
